The Memory Garden (by Drawn Thread) is appropriately nostalgic as another year comes to an end. The quote on this pattern struck a chord and I HAD to have it, but then it languished in a drawer for months. Imagine my joy when I realized that with using a few DMC conversions, I could pull entirely from stash to get this one started.
Quote from pattern:
“Back on it’s sturdy hinges the gate of memory swings, and my heart goes
into the garden to gather my cherished things.”
I’m stitching on 32 count Belfast linen in Confederate
Grey. This piece has a lot of specialty
stitches that I've never worked. It'll be fun to do something a little different. The
floss toss is a bit drab so I’ll probably make a few color changes as I
move along. I’ll let my instincts guide me.
Happy new year and happy stitching!
